Gardens
The spectacular two-acre winery garden is a tribute to the beauty of the Napa Valley and marries great beauty and functionality. Lovingly created by Leslie Rudd’s wife, Susan, with the help of noted Canadian landscape designer, Thomas Hobbs, the gardens are anchored by 150-year-old olive trees with remarkable gnarled trunks. These trees produce enough fruit for us to make a small amount of artesian olive oil. Using predominately a silver, peach and burgundy color palate the drought tolerant flower garden provides year round visual interest. If you visit in the spring or summer months, you are likely to encounter Susan tending the plants. At the north end of the garden is a glass greenhouse where we start heirloom vegetables for our two organic vegetable plots. These plots produce a wide variety of hard-to-find seasonal fruits and vegetables for the winery and PRESS Restaurant in St Helena.
